Don Baer

Don Baer is a Senior Partner at Brunswick Group. From 2018 – 20, he was Chair of the global strategic communications firm Burson Cohn & Wolfe, and, from 2012 – 18, Worldwide Chair and CEO of Burson-Marsteller and a member of the firm’s senior leadership since 2008. From 1998 – 2007, Don was Senior Executive Vice President for Strategy and Development at media company Discovery Communications, home of the Discovery Channel and media properties around the world. From 1994 – 98, he was an Assistant to the President and senior adviser for President Bill Clinton, serving as White House Communications and Strategy Director, Chief Speechwriter and Director of Speechwriting and Research. Before working in the White House, Don was a journalist at U.S. News & World Report and The American Lawyer as well as a media lawyer in New York City. He currently serves on the Boards of Directors of PBS, which he Chairs, and Meredith Corporation.
